satellite images of the Tsunami damage....mind boggling. http://homepage.mac.com/demark/tsunami/

On the subject of financial contributions: I have heard that Doctors Without Borders is no longer accepting donations for these efforts. I have been wondering about what other crucial non-profits out there exist also in desperate need of financial support especially right now. I think that those of us who have something to give have a responsibility to give it but also to be strategic and thoughtful about where we give it. There is extreme suffering, poverty and need all around us all the time. While it is wonderful to see this massive outpouring of giving to Tsunami recovery efforts I encourage all of us to be mindful of the big picture of the world we live in and consider giving what we can when we can and not just in the face of extreme localized adversity. If you can give, do. Often.
