While we may not always understand where we are going or what is being worked out in us, we need to learn to trust what we hear when we listen closely to ourselves. The answers are all always there. Our need to control outcomes often gets in the way disguising itself as our "gut" which can make decision making seem confusing.
When your gut is speaking to you, you will know it. It is that voice that is calm and quiet and persistent and patient. It asks you to do things sometimes that dont seem to make logical sense or things that feel scary. Our guts gently lead us into unchartered territory, into unknown places. Our fear of the unknown can make us want to retreat to a safe place, distrusting our gut. The unknown is where we grow, it is where learning dwells.

Have you ever been desperate to know what is going on or what is going to happen in a situation? Sometimes we cant know "right now". Clarity most often comes only after the lesson has been learned. Let go and let the lesson happen. Confusion is temporary no matter how long it lasts.

Leap and the net will appear.
I know I have sent that thought out sometime over the past few years, but it is what I am hoping for right now. I am going through a very scary time personally and am practicing faith.

"I think of trees and how simply they let go, let fall the riches of the season, how without grief (it seems) they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep … Imitate the trees. Learn to lose in order to recover…"

"The ultimate test of man's conscience may be his willingness to sacrifice something today for future generations whose words of thanks will not be heard."
--Senator Gaylord Nelson, founder of Earth Day and lifelong defender of our environmental heritage, who passed away Sunday at age 89.
